South African group formed in Bloemfontein in 1969, originally calling themselves Lilac Rose Conspiracy. Original members were Greg Glover (lead vocals), Darryl Johnson (guitar), Lee Johnson (bass) and Jens Jensen (drums). In 1971 Lilac Rose won the Kroonstad Battle Of The Bands and decided to turn pro. In 1971 Lee Johnson left and was replaced by Tony Baldwin, but he switched to guitar when Johnson rejoined the group in 1972. Soon afterwards Greg Glover and Tony Baldwin left to form Talisman, and in 1973 they renamed themselves to Charles G (Greg) and John T (Tony). Lee Johnson went on to write the rock opera, The Ancient Mariner, with Robert Schroder. The group won a Springbok Award for Most Promising Group in 1973.This song was first released on 7” single in 1973. This version is off the album “Lilac Rose” released in 1976.
